*I've been sidelined for the last four days with a bacterial sinus infection. Usually, any sort of upper respiratory upset, I attribute to my hay fever and try to ride out, but this one was worse. It was so bad that when I went to work on Tuesday, they took one look at my face and said, "You have a fever, go home and go to the doctor." So I did, and he gave me antibiotics roughly the size of my thumbprint. I probably caught it from one of the literally hundreds of schoolchildren that come through my workplace every day.

*This is usually my favorite time of the year, but the weather has been so nuts here. First record-setting rainstorms, then temperatures in the 20s overnight.

*Did I mention I'm going to Washington, DC the 26th through the 29th?
